Linking the soaring ridgelines between Nancy Greene Summit and Cascade Summit, the 7 Summits trail makes for a beautiful traverse of the Rossland Range. Completed in 2004 by the Kootenay-Columbia Trails society, the 7 Summits has quickly become one of the most sought after trails in the Kootenay region attaining the International Mountainbike Association's (IMBA) ‘epic’trail status in only its second year of operation. The trail was also voted "Trail of the Year" by Bike Magazine in 2007.

Red Mountain Resort is proud to host the 2nd Annual Seven Summits Trail Run. Back with popular demand after an unforgettable first time event, Red  is geared up to make this year’s race even more impressive than last. Come join us for an epic 26KM run along the Seven Summits Trail between the Nancy Greene Summit and Red Mountain Resort.

The race will take place on Saturday, Sept.6, 2008 at 8:00 AM. All competitors will meet at the Red Mountain Resort parking lot no later than 7:00 AM and will then be shuttled to the race start at the Nancy Greene Summit. Following the race there will be a BBQ open to all who wish to attend!
